biennale of architecture
fundamentals
biennale architettura 2014
- venezia -
pavillons,exhibitions,history,design,art
it's all there
Rem Koolhaas divided this year's biennale into three interlocking exhibitions:
absorbing modernity
elements of architecture
monditalia
a truly inspiring event
the theme koolhaas set for the national pavilions was 'absorbing modernity'.
nations were asked to look back at the past 100 years of architecture in their country and focus on a period "where the process of modernisation was at its most acute"
lighting up the entrance to the monditalia exhibition is the glowing gateway 'luminaire'
designed by koolhaas in collaboration with swarowski

Padova, Italy
..Italy..
..always a supernatural delight..
this was a weekend of relaxing with friends, sardinian cuisine, walks in the rain
and a whole lotta 'introdurre'
piazza dei Signori
a charming square set at the base of the famous astronomical clock tower
that simply invites you to have a sip of tea or coffee at one one the many cafes nearby
and enjoy the view
via 8 Febbraio
piazza delle Frutta
..lively and yet very relaxed..
and not at all loud; which is very unusual for an italian piazza :)
Ovetari Chapel
the Mantegna project:
reconstruction of the frescoes of Padua's Ovetari Chapel in the Eremitani Church;
the project sets out to virtually reconstruct the giant ''puzzle'' depicted by about 80,000
fragments that formed the 15th century frescoes by Andrea Mantegna destroyed in 1944.

..enjoy Italy..

Talijanska vila iz 15.stoljeća
via One kind design
''This inspiring dream home, in the northwest Piedmont region is reminiscent of a knight’s castle with consistently beautiful and vibrant imestone floors and walls.
The beautiful 3,229 square foot Italian estate from the 15th century was restored by interior designer Charlotte Johnson who saw a no-frills dream house with a colorless theme.
The designer added contrast without color, black and white with the only contrasting color for walls and floors by gentle gradation.
Furnishings are modern classics from the 1960’s.''
Bazen na kraju je totalno iznenađenje!
